Run through a beautiful, tree-lined residential course. The Doug Kessler
Lightning 10K, formerly the Lightning 10K Road Race, is a Peachtree
Road Race qualifier. 1,000 registered runners, including women, men,
and children of all ages, participate each year. The winning times two years ago were for Women 37:43 and Men, 32:13. Last year the winning times were 38:29 and 30:29. The course is USATF-certified. It is a fast,
reasonably flat downhill course-perfect for training and timing.
The Doug Kessler Lightning 10K is named for Doug Kessler after his
untimely recent passing. Not only did he originate the race and name
it “Lightning” for its fast route, but he continued to implement
the race each year of his life. The entire Sandy Springs community will
miss this generous, caring spirit who touched every person he met.
T-Shirts
All finishers will receive "technical" t-shirts. With the help of ASICS, we are able to provide this breathable fabric, similar to CoolMax, to all Doug Kessler Lightning 10K finishers.

Entry fee is $20 now until Monday, September 10th. Register in person and receive a race number immediately at Fleet Feet Sports, 224 Johnson Ferry Rd. (404-255-3338).

the TARGET parking lot.
Race Number Pickup
Registration and number pickup will begin at 6 a.m. in the TARGET parking
lot.
